King Tilokaraj in a perspective of Khlong Yuan Phai’s authors

Abstract

This academic article aimed at studying the king Tilokaraj in a perspective of authors who wrote the poetry ‘Khlong Yuan Phai’. The result found that the author saw King Tilokaraj 10 characters were 1) he was an invader 2) he has a jealous mind and wily 3) King Tilokaraj was afraid of King Borommatrailokkanat 4) King Tilokaraj was subordinate King Borommatrailokkanat 5) King Tilokaraj’s kindness was like a robber 6) he was always suspicious on his confidants 7) he was foolish 8) he was credulous 9) he was resentful, and he was a combatant and administrator. All of these perspectives reflects that the author who wrote Khlong Yuan Phai saw the King Tilokaraj was subordinate King Borommatrailokkanat because the author lived in Ayutthaya, and he was a courtier of King Borommatrailokkanat.
