Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the references of Phraya Phakdi Chumphon (Lae) in Thai folk songs which is an analysis of content information in songs published on the website www.youtube.com during the year 2014 – 2021. It was found that there were references to Phraya Phakdi Chumphon (Lae) in all 3 aspects. There are (1) the content that refer to history of Phraya Phakdi Chumphon (Lae) 7 songs. (2) The content with a reference to a prayer for Phraya Phakdi Chumphon (Lae) 12 songs, which can be divided into 3 types; the content with a reference to a blessing about love, the content containing references to praying for work, and the contents referring to faith and the sixth month merit tradition. (3) The contents referring to Phraya Phakdi Chumphon (Lae) in introducing tourist attractions in Chaiyaphum Province 2 songs. There are a total of 21 songs that have been created, demonstrating the composer's ability to compose songs that use the method of storytelling to be concise and easy to understand. In addition, the researcher also analyzed the concept of the use of literary language in Thai folk songs with references to Phraya Phakdi Chumphon (Lae), which consisted of the use of lexical language and language level making the song beautiful both in terms of sound and meaning. It is used to convey the story of events and the people's feelings towards Chao Pho Phaya Lae that Make listeners feel love The composer's faith towards Chao Phaya Lae is interesting.
