Abstract

This article investigates how Ruan chamber music serves as a medium for teaching innovation and cultural inheritance in contemporary music education. It emphasizes the educational value of appreciating and performing Ruan chamber works across various styles—from traditional to modern and adapted Western compositions. By examining rehearsal strategies, ensemble coordination, artistic expression, and the integration of sight-singing and ear-training, the study highlights the multifaceted approach required for effective Ruan chamber music teaching. The article also explores the creation and adaptation of Ruan works as a method for expanding the repertoire and fostering creativity among students. Artistic practice is positioned as a crucial component for skill development, cultural understanding, and ensemble cooperation. Through comprehensive teaching methods that include appreciation, performance, creation, and interdisciplinary integration, Ruan chamber music education promotes both musical excellence and the preservation of Chinese traditional culture in modern society.
