Abstract

This research aimed to study family characteristics, student’s online gambling behavior, and the relationship of family characteristics and student’s online gambling behavior. Data were collected by questionnaire completed by 400 randomly selected undergraduates in the school of Management Science. Pearson’s Correlation was used to analyze the relationship with a statistical significance level of 0.05.


The study found that the family that taught the family members using information from news and exemplified the negative effects of gambling resulted in the student not accessing online gambling. Relationship between family characteristics and student gambling behavior was found at a moderate level.
