Abstract

          The objective of this article is to analyze the communication expressed through the makeup for identity construction of ceremony participants. The study explored the communication on the concepts of Identity and Semiology. It is aimed to demonstrate the communication which is constructed the identity through the makeup in the context of ceremonies in Thai society. Besides the makeup, “Clothing and Hair-do” is one another factor that can complete the communication. This article is a new dimension of the communication through the makeup, clothing, and hair-do of Thai ceremonies, to harmonize the understanding of the people in Thai society, which lead the communication to be accomplished.
