Abstract

The author aims to present patterns and management methods in order to successfully improve the Treasury Pavilion 1 Chiang Mai as an effective learning resource. The author find that the Treasury Pavilion 1 Chiang Mai is unable to attract visitors, despite the fact that it is located in the middle of Chiang Mai city which is considered an important tourist area of Chiang Mai. In addition, the residents and tourists’ knowledge of location is poor and do not know the significance of the location. Besides, the content of each exhibition is not attractive. As a result, improvements were made to the display by the Treasury Pavilion 1 Chiang Mai but without removing the main idea of displaying Royal Regalia, Royal Decorations and Thai Coins according to The Treasury Department’s policy. Extra displays were proposed in order to add the story regarding locality which correspond to the surrounding area and the old house of Chao Thippawan Na Chiang Tung, in order to draw attention and increase efficiency in learning more about the story of local. As for management process, it is necessary to increase the public relations and build the change by arranging extra activities both outside and inside the Treasury Pavilion 1 as well as build network collaborating with other leaning centers located in the area of Chiang Mai city.
