THE QUALITY OF WORKING LIFE PEOPLE IN MUEANGKHONKAEN DISTRICT, KHON KAEN PROVINCE

Abstract

    This research has the aims to study; 1) the people’s quality of life in Mueang Khonkaen district, Khonkaen province., 2) the suggestions to develop the people’s quality of life in Mueang Khonkaen district, Khonkaen province. The researcher collected the data from 384 respondents, and analyzed the data by percentage, mean, and standard deviation statistics.
    The results were as follows: 1) Most of the respondents, 50.52 percent, were female, and 49.48 percent were male. The respondents, 24.48 percent, were age between 31 - 40 years old, 23.94 percent were age between 21 -30 years old, 22.40 percent were age 51-60 years old, 16.67 percent were age above 61 years old, and 3.39 percent were age under 20 years old. The respondents, 36.72 percent, were graduated primary school, 23.70 percent were graduated secondary school, 23.70 graduated higher than bachelor’s degree, 12.50 percent were graduated diploma, and 11.72 percent were graduated higher secondary school. The respondents, 27.86 percent, were farmers, 25.72 percent were labors, 15.28 percent were freelance, 13.54 percent were merchants, 3.67 percent were student, and 8.33 percent were state servants and state enterprise. Lot of the respondents, 43.75 percent, were married, 30.99 percent were single, 12.24 percent were separated, and 4.33 percent
were divorced. The respondents, 53.91 percent, have earned 10,001 bath/month, 37.76 percent have earned 10,001 - 20,000 bath/month, 7.29 percent have earned  20,001 -30,000 bath/month, and 4.43 percent of the respondents have earned higher than 30,001 bath/month. 2) The overall people’s quality of life in Mueang khonkaen district, Khonkaen province was at highest mean level ( = 3.74), the aspect of appropriate compensation is at a high level ( = 3.82), the aspect of a safe and hygienic work environment is at the highest level ( = 3.96), the aspect of utilizing and developing skills is at the highest level ( = 3.71), the aspect of job security and career growth is at the highest level ( = 3.43), the aspect of work-life balance is at the highest level ( = 3.74).
