Abstract

         The research of “Important Pagodas in Loeiprovince : Analysis from Historical Buddhist Art Belief and Local Culture Related” is a quality research, aimed to study and analyze the history and Buddhist art of important pagodas in Loei Province, study and analyze the beliefs and local culture related to important pagodas in Loei Province and study and analyze the guidelines for the development of important Chedi locations in Loei Province as a learning and tourist attraction of history, arts, Buddhism and local culture in Loei Province.
        From the study, had found important pagodas in Loei Province such as Phrathat Srisongrak, Phrathat Sripoom, Phrathat Dintan, Phrathat Sajja, Phrathat Manaowdiew, Phrathat U-mong, Phrathat Kudrueakum, Phramahathat Chedi Wat Mahathat and Phrathat Kaewsadet is a pagoda with a long history Has local historical significance causing the Buddhist art and styles of the pagoda to be important, with unique architectural styles.
        Important pagodas in Loei Province have culture beliefs and rituals of the community towards the pagodas. The traditional culture is similar is annual pagodas, circular around the pagodas, cloth cover pagodas, dance sacrificial offerings and vows. The major beliefs are sacredness of the pagodas is believed to help the worshipers to bless.
        Finally, The guidelines for the development of the location of the important pagoda in Loei Province to be a learning and tourist attraction of history, arts, Buddhism and local culture in Loei Province, could do by participate from all sectors, divided to 3 levels ; path of conservation and development of archaeological sites in the state policy level, the temple and local community level, and the province level especially by cultural organizations.
