The Traffic Management Guidelines for Safe Driving in the Area of Mueang Chaiyaphum District, Chaiyaphum Province

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were 1) to study the component, determine the name and meaning of the traffic management components, and 2) to creating the traffic management guidelines for safe driving in the area of Mueang Chaiyaphum district, Chaiyaphum province. This research was a mixed method research that used document reserch, interview and quantitative research. Sampling group included 2 groups whom 10 people involved in traffic management form purposive sampling and 500 respondents who use cars using roads in the area of Mueang Chaiyaphum District, Chaiyaphum form stratified sampling. The data were collected by interview and questionnaires. The statistics used were percentage and exploratory factor analysis.
          The following were the results:
          1. The components of the traffic management in the area of Mueang Chaiyaphum district, Chaiyaphum province can classify 4 elements. All components explained 75.49%. The four components were identified (1) Traffic safety control, (2) Acquiring staff competency and safety equipments, (3) Strictly and sensible law enforcement, (4) Key performance participation on building the safety road.
           2. The guideline for improving traffic management efficiency had 11 projects, that defined as a concept “TASK” in order to meet the for improving traffic management efficiency in line with the current traffic volume and the context.
