Abstract

The purpose of the research was to design a model for planning resource for information technology project in modern trade business. In the past, it was estimated that resources would be used in an organization's project. It is the use of the experience of the supervisor who is responsible for each job. From the study of a project that took place in a unit of an organization that deals with telecommunications in terms of cost and time overruns. Risk assessment, operational complexity, and the soft skill required for each function are studied. In this research, two models were examined. The first model uses factors to assess the risk assessment and complexity of the project and the second model added the soft skills required in the work. The research found the first model was insufficient to assess the number of people, time spent and expenses incurred in the project when compared to the data obtained from the actual project practice. But the second model was efficient more than the first model and the second model get the result of people and time spent was approximate with actual project and cost in second model was lower costs as well. However, in this the research, it may not be possible to conclude that the second model is suitable every project type, size of project, so should more studies and research will be needed on the above factors as well.
