Leadership Factors which Affect the Work Performance under the Roles and Duties of the Heads of Villages in Wapiphatum District, Maha Sarakham Province.

Abstract

          The  purposes of this research were 1) to investigate the level of the leadership factors which affect the work performance under the roles and duties of the heads of villages. 2) to investigate the level of the work performance  under the roles and duties of the heads of villages. And 3) to study the  leadership factors resulting  the work performance under the roles and duties of the heads of villages in Wapiphatum District, MahaSarakham Province. The study was the quantitative research. The samples were 161 persons related with the work performance under the roles and duties of the heads of villages in Wapiphatum District, MahaSarakham Province calculated by Taro Yamane’s formula and selected through stratified and simple random sampling techniques. The instrument used in the  research  was  a  five  rating  scale  questionnaire  with  0.92 of  reliability.  The statistics encompassed frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s Product-moment correlation coefficient and multiple regression by Stepwise method with the statistic significant level at.05   
          The results of the research were as follows ; 1) the level of factors influencing on  the work performance  under  the  roles and duties of the heads of villages in Wapiphatum District, MahaSarakham Province as a whole was rated at high level. (  = 3.83, S.D. = 0.87)
2) the level of factors influencing on the work performance under the roles and duties of the heads of villages as a whole was rated at high level. (  = 3.97, S.D. = 0.65) 3) The relationship between the 5 leadership factors and the work performance under the roles and duties of the heads of the villages was rated at moderated level, which could be predicted that 64.20% (R² = 642), as shown in the  standard equation as follow ;
