The Guidelines for Solving the Land Problems of People in the Protected Forest Area of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park

Abstract

          The purpose of this study was to study an approach to solve land problems of people, Participation of stakeholders, Ways to create cooperation between the government sector and stakeholders and expectations and needs of the people who are interested in land use management methods in the area. This study used a qualitative research method. Key informants using interview A group of 4 park rangers, 16 village chiefs and village headmen, and group discussions. People who occupy the land use area and a group of 30 people who participated in activities in the area. Tools used to collect data is a semi-structured interview form Contains open-ended questions.
          The results of the study revealed that 1) There are 5 steps stipulated in Section 64 of the National Park Act of 2019, namely a survey of land occupancy with land occupiers, holding meetings and field visits to listen to opinions, problems and needs of the people in a model manner small group Summarize and report results. 2) Participation consists of Organizing a general meeting of stakeholders visit the area to listen to opinions. Participate in surveying the area and providing land ownership information join the community of villagers. 3) ways to create cooperation between the government sector, including village-level meetings Appointment of a mediator to reach conclusions Making concrete agreements. 4) Expectations and desires include the inspection of land tenure rights of organizations that use the land strictly, transparently, equally and fairly.
