The Development of Online Request Submission System, Academic Standards and Academic Standards and Registration Office, Northeastern University

Abstract

          Research on the development of online request submission system, Academic Standards and Registration Office, Northeastern University aimed to 1) develop an information system for online request submission, 2) achieve the results of students’ satisfaction towards using online request submission system, The sample group included students requested for the graduation in the academic year 2/2022 with the total number of 155 people. The research tools were interview form and questionnaires. The statistics used in data analysis comprised frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.
          The research results were found that:  1) The study results of situation and problems from the operation of original system showed that the students filled out information in request form in handwriting specified incorrectly and incompletely, handwriting was hard to read, the officers must take a long time for verifying information and searching for documents, it wasted a space in storing request documents, collected request documents were easily lost, data storage, recording and searching were unsystematic. 2)The satisfaction assessment results of system users were divided into 3 aspects, namely system capability, usability and system safety. The results of satisfaction assessment were rated at a high level in all aspects. It facilitated students and saved time, it also avoided the risk of overcrowding at the office of registrar according to social distancing principle of COVID-19 virus epidemic, it reduced work process and the amount of paper usage of the staff and it also was beneficial to the office of registrar.
