EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES TO PROMOTE GOOD CITIZENSHIP ACCORDING TO THE EDUCATIONAL POLICY OF HIS MAJESTY THE KING RAMA X OF WATSUTTHAJINDA SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract
The objectives of the research were 1) to investigate the needs of educational management to promote good citizenship, 2) to create the educational management strategies to promote good citizenship, 3) to try out the educational management strategies to promote good citizenship, and 4) to assess the educational management strategies to promote good citizenship according to the educational policy of His Majesty the King Rama X of Watsutthajinda school students. With mixed methods, the samples of this study consisted of 42 teachers, 15 school board committees, 174 students, and 174 students’ parents. The research instruments included 1) a questionnaire of authentic and expected phenomenon, 2) a questionnaire of good citizenship, 3) a questionnaire of operation, 4) a rating scales satisfaction form, and 5) a structured interview. The data were analyzed by Mean, Standard Deviation (S.D.), Dependent T-Test, and Content Analysis. Results indicated that there were four aspects of needs for educational management to promote good citizenship according to His Majesty the King Rama X as follows: 1) the development of school curriculum, 2) the exchange of learning management pedagogy, 3) the creation of consciousnesses, and 4) the exchange of students’ learning development activities. 2. In terms of educational management strategies to promote good citizenship according to the educational policy of His Majesty the King Rama X of Watsutthajinda school students, four main strategies were found as follows: the first strategy: the development of school curriculum, the second strategy: the exchange of learning management pedagogy, the third strategy: the creation the consciousness of good citizenship, and the fourth strategy: the exchange of students’ learning development activities. 3. The result of the tryout of educational management strategy to promote good citizenship according to His Majesty the King Rama X of Watsutthajinda school students, revealed that the operation of following the strategies was the very satisfied level. 4. The result of educational management strategies to promote good citizenship according to the educational policy of His Majesty the King Rama X of Watsutthajinda school students showed that 1) teachers, students, and school board committees were at very satisfied level towards educational management strategies, 2) students had good citizenship according to His Majesty the King Rama X after the implement of educational management strategies at the statistically significant difference of .05. Lastly, 3) students had expected qualification according to the school curriculum at the highest level.
