Political behavior changes: reflections on the election of members of the House of Representatives, 2019, Surin Province

Abstract

     It is difficult to ignore formal and informal political features within a country when trying to understand political outcomes. The election of the House of Representatives of Thailand 2019 has a political outcome that was produced by the rules of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, 2017.

     The purpose of this article is to study the political behavior of voters and candidates in Surin Province, including changes in political behavior and political behavior patterns of people and political groups in relation to the election of members of the House of Representatives in Surin on March 24, 2019. The study found that the political behavior of voters and candidates in Surin Province can be divided into two groups, which are
the political behavior of the voters and the behavior of the candidates. Political behavior patterns of citizens when making voting decisions rely on important factors such as politicians’ political party affiliation. This election in Surin pProvince does not appear clearly vote buying.
