การใช้ภาพลักษณ์ทางเพศในกวีนิพนธ์ชุด Crow ของ เท็ด ฮิวส์

Abstract

บทความนี้มุ่งศึกษาและวิเคราะห์กวีนิพนธ์ชุด Crow ของเท็ด ฮิวส์ กวีอังกฤษร่วมสมัย งานชุดดังกล่าวเป็นรวมกวีนิพนธ์ที่เรียกได้ว่าเป็น  วรรณกรรมล้อเลียนด้านมืดของมนุษย์ในสังคม โดยหยิบยกเอาลักษณะอันร้ายกาจที่แฝงด้วยความน่าขบขันของอีกามาเป็นประเด็นในการเสียดสีความมืดดำของโลกสมัยปัจจุบัน นอกจากกวีนิพนธ์ชุด Crow จะแสดงออกซึ่งความรุนแรงและการใช้เพศเป็นเครื่องมือถ่ายทอดความเสื่อมทรามแล้ว กวีนิพนธ์ชุดนี้ยังสะท้อนความวุ่นวาย สับสนและกลโกงของสังคมผ่านการใช้เล่ห์กลของอีกาอีกด้วย ในบทความนี้ได้คัดสรรโคลงในกวีนิพนธ์ชุดนี้มาทั้งหมดเจ็ดโคลงอันได้แก่ “A Childish Prank,” “Crow’s First Lesson,” “Apple Tragedy,” “Snake Hymn,” “Lovesong,” Fragment of An Ancient Tablet” และ “Song for a Phallus” จากการศึกษาพบว่า กวีได้มีการใช้ภาพลักษณ์ทางเพศที่หลากหลายในการล้อเลียนตำนานการสร้างโลก เรื่องเล่า นิทานที่แสดงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างเพศชายและหญิง ภาพลักษณ์ทางเพศดังกล่าวถูกนำเสนอผ่านฉากการสมสู่ การมีเพศสัมพันธ์ การใช้ความรุนแรง การข่มขืน การบรรยายรายละเอียดของอวัยวะเพศชายและหญิง ตลอดจนข้อความอันสื่อถึงปมทางเพศในโคลง

ชัยยนต์ ทองสุขแก้ง

ชัยยนต์ ทองสุขแก้ง จบการศึกษาครุศาสตรบัณฑิต ภาษาไทย-ภาษาอังกฤษ (เกียรตินิยมอันดับ1 เหรียญทอง)จากคณะครุศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ในปี พ.ศ.2548 แล้วเข้าทำงานที่ภาควิชาภาษาอังกฤษ คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏวไลยอลงกรณ์ ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์  จากนั้นเข้าศึกษาต่อและจบการศึกษาอักษรศาสตรมหาบัณฑิต ภาษาอังกฤษ (วรรณคดี) จากคณะอักษรศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ในปี พ.ศ.2551 มีความสนใจด้านการสอนภาษาและวรรณคดีอังกฤษ
