The Prevention of deviant behavior from cyberbullying victimization among youths A case study: The Secondary School in Samutprakan

The purpose of the present research was to search the prevention of deviant behavior from cyberbullying victimization among youths. The sample of quantitative research used 400 students, ages 12 to 18 years old by Stratified Sampling from 13 secondary schools in Samutprakan. Instruments in this study were questionnaires by Simple Random Sampling. The results of this study found: cyberbullying victimization and deviant behavior had significant moderate positive correlation positive at the 0.05 level (r=0.494, Sig.=0.000). And the qualitative research was collected by semi - structured interview method from 17 key informants that consisting of 10 students with social deviant behaviors and who have been accused of cyberbullying, 5 teachers and 2 psychologists. Then researcher was able to summarize ways to prevent deviant behavior into 3 levels 1) The primary level was the creation of mental immunity for children and youth by family and school. 2) The secondary level was to give advice and counseling to children and youth by family, school and friends and 3) The Third level was to participate in solving problems of children and youth by family, school, friends and psychologist. The cause was usually due to the private issues of children in the group or school students known. Children and youth were usually thought that commonly seen so they lacked awareness of the problem. The impact of cyberbullying was ignorance of the rights of themselves and others. Including strengthening mental health of children and youth when they faced with cyberbullying.
