Abstract

This quasi-experimental research was to study the effectiveness of an integrated counseling program for enhancing social skills of schizophrenic patients. The sample group was 16 patients diagnosed by a physician according to the criteria for classifying schizophrenia during February- April without any another disease and substance abuse were randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group, 8 people per group. Data were collected using a social skills questionnaire with a confidence level of 0.9. A blended counseling program to enhance social skills of schizophrenia patients was used 8 times for 1 hour and 30 minutes each. The results of the comparison of social skills differences between the experimental group and the control group in the pre- and post-test period. It was found that the schizophrenic patients in the experimental group had significantly higher social skills than the control group at p<.01. It was found that after the end of the experiment, the schizophrenic patients in the experimental group had social skills in communication and communication. build a relationship stress management and decision-making in problem solving was significantly higher than before the experiment at p<.01. The results showed that the activity helped the schizophrenia patients to be more active in behavior change. There is cooperation and help within the group. Learn to share solutions to problems and being able to manage emotions.
