Effectiveness of Stress Management Program for Grade 12 Students at Kasetsart University Laboratory School

The objectives of this research were as followings: to study the effectiveness of the stress management program for students. The research methodology was Quasi-Experimental using one group pretest-posttest design. The participants were 15 students in grade 12 who voluntarily enrolled in the stress management techniques class in the academic year 2021 at Kasetsart University Laborato School. The research instruments were (1) The stress management techniques program for students is composed of 12 activities that followed the Lazarus and Folkman, (2) Suanprung Stress Test-20. (Reliability Score .90)The statistics used for data analysis are the mean, standard deviation, and the Wilcoxon's Match Pairs Signed Rank Test was used to test the variations within the groups. The results showed that participants had scored on stress tests lower than before joining the program (Z = -2.503, P ≤ .05). Therefore, this research shows that stress management programs have effectiveness to reduce student stress. The program is valuable for teacher who want to implement the program for students in their schools.
