สิ่งที่ควรทำและสิ่งที่ไม่ควรทำในการพัฒนาเค้าโครงวิจัย สำหรับนักวิจัยพฤติกรรมศาสตร์(Do’s and Don’ts of Developing Research Proposal for Researchers in Behavioral Science)

Abstract

The remarkable fact of applied behavioral science research is that it is an interdisciplinary approach that integrates psychology, sociology, education, anthropology, political science, health science and others disciplines, to explain, predict, and develop human behavior. While designing research proposals in behavioral science, most students lack in understanding what behavioral science is. They mostly understand that studying only human behavior is called behavioral science. The beginners starting in this field should understand the definition, scope, and approach of the behavioral science. This article aims to propose a suitable approach for conducting research in the behavioral science and how it should be done. Do’s and don’ts of designing the behavioral science’s research proposal in terms of concept, and methodology are also presented, based on the minutes of several proposal defense considerations and suggestions from academic scholars in behavioral science. Findings from this article could encourage students in the applied behavioral science and new researchers to follow the do’s and avoid the don’ts highlighted.

บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยในสาขาวิชาการวิจัยพฤติกรรมศาสตร์ประยุกต์มีความโดดเด่นของศาสตร์อยู่ที่การศึกษาพฤติกรรมของมนุษย์โดยบูรณาการองค์ความรู้จากหลายสาขาวิชา ซึ่งมีจิตวิทยาร่วมกับสาขาวิชาอื่นๆ เช่น สังคมวิทยา มานุษยวิทยา ศึกษาศาสตร์ รัฐศาสตร์ ศิลปศาสตร์ วิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ เป็นต้น เพื่อทำความเข้าใจ อธิบาย ทำนาย และพัฒนาพฤติกรรมของมนุษย์ การพัฒนาเค้าโครงปริญญานิพนธ์ของนิสิตที่ผ่านมาพบว่า ยังขาดความเข้าใจ          คำว่า “การวิจัยพฤติกรรมศาสตร์” บางคนตีความปัญหาการวิจัยของตนว่าเป็นการวิจัยทางพฤติกรรมศาสตร์แล้ว เพียงเพราะทำการวิจัยพฤติกรรมของมนุษย์ นักวิจัยที่กำลังเริ่มทำวิจัยในสาขานี้จึงควรตระหนักถึงความหมาย ขอบเขต และแนวทางการทำการวิจัยที่เหมาะสมกับความเป็นพฤติกรรมศาสตร์ บทความนี้จึงมีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อสะท้อนแนวทางการพัฒนาเค้าโครงวิจัยในสาขาวิชาการวิจัยพฤติกรรมศาสตร์ประยุกต์จากประสบการณ์ของเขียนผ่านรายงานการประชุมพิจารณาเค้าโครงปริญญานิพนธ์ และงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยสรุปออกมาเป็นประเด็น         สิ่งที่ควรทำ และสิ่งที่ไม่ควรทำในการพัฒนาเค้าโครงวิจัยทางพฤติกรรมศาสตร์ ในมิติด้านแนวคิดทฤษฎี และมิติด้านวิธีวิทยาการวิจัย ซึ่งจะเป็นแนวทางการพัฒนาเค้าโครงวิจัยและทำงานวิจัยด้านพฤติกรรมศาสตร์ได้อย่างมีคุณภาพตามหลักพฤติกรรมศาสตร์สำหรับนิสิตสาขาวิชาการวิจัยพฤติกรรมศาสตร์ประยุกต์ และนักวิจัยพฤติกรรมศาสตร์      รุ่นใหม่ที่สนใจทำงานวิจัยด้านพฤติกรรมศาสตร์
