บทคัดย่อ

The purpose of this research was to develop and to test a multilevel causal model and the effects of psychological empowerment on work behavior of fire and rescue officer in Bangkok. The sample of the research consisted of six hundred and one hundred and twenty from fire and rescue officer team. Questionnaires were used for data collection. Confirmatory Factor Analysis was applied to assess the construct validity all of the variables of the measurement model. In terms of the date analysis processes, Multilevel Confirmatory Factor Analysis, interrater agreement and interrater reliability were applied to assess the construct validation of the team level variables; while Multilevel Structural Equation Modeling was applied to test the multilevel causal model and the effects of psychological empowerment on work behavior of fire and rescue officer. The modified causal and effects model showed a good fit (  2 = 194.159, df = 7, p < 0.000, CFI = .950, TLI = .929, RMSEA = .055). However, psychological empowerment and team empowerment were the central variables of the model. Results showed psychological empowerment and team empowerment were complete mediators at both the individual and team level. Transformative leadership had the highest total effect team empowerment and psychological empowerment. Besides, transformative leadership had a cross-level effect on psychological empowerment.
