A Study of Learning Management Problems During the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID - 19) Pandemic in Secondary Schools in Trat Province, Thailand

Abstract

     The objectives of this research were (i) to investigate the  level of learning management problems in the secondary schools in Trat Province during COVID - 19 and (ii) to compare the levels of learning management problems during COVID - 19 according to teachers’ gender, school size and teaching experiences. The problems of learning management in this study were divided into three mai n parts : (i) media and equipment, (ii) learning activity management, and  (iii)  school  management. The  samples selected  by  the  stratified  random  sampling  consisted  of 226  secondary  school  teachers  under  the  Secondary Educational  Service  Area  Office  Chanthaburi  Trat, Trat Province.  The  research  instrument  used  in  data collection  was  five-point  rating  scale. Data  were analyzed by  using  mean, standard  deviation, independent - sample t-tes t and  one-way  analysis  of  variance  and  post – hoc comparisons  using  Scheffe  method.

     The  finding  indicated  that  the  levels  of  learning management  problems  in  the  secondary  schools  in  Trat Province  during  COVID - 19  was  low  in  both  overall  and each dimension. In  addition, the  result  revealed  that there  was  no  statistical  difference  in  the  levels  of learning  management  problems  in overall  and  all dimensions  (except  for  learning  activity  management).
