Psychological factors which affect the acceptance of sexual behavior among teenage girls in the klong toey area

The purpose of this research was a correlation study. The objectives were to study about the teenage girls in Klong Toey area as related to: 1) preferential sexual risk, self – controlled, materialistic values, self – esteem and acceptance of sexual behavior, 2) the relationship between preferentialsexual risk, self – controlled, materialistic values, self – esteem and acceptance of sexual behavior, 3) The predictive power of accepting sexual behavior according to preferential sexual risk variables, self – controlled, materialistic values, self – esteem of the sample group was 320 teenage girls in the Klong Toey area, aged between 12 – 14 years old whichThe 5 communities were redomly selected out of 41 communities by simple random method. the research tools were a questionnaire which was divided into 2 parts. Part 1, involved Personal Information Questionnaire and Part 2, Questionnaire was Psychological Factors which includes 1) acceptance of sexual behavior 2) preferential sexual risk 3) self – controlled, 4) materialistic values, 5) self – esteem. The researcher created a 5 – level estimation section. The statistics used in the analysis were mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s simple correlation and multiple linear regression analysis using Stepwise method and predictive equation. The results of the study showed that 1) The average level of acceptance of sexual behavior behaviors was 2.71, material values were 1.80, self – esteem was 4.03, self – control was 3.91 and preferential sexual risk was 2.10. 2) The Relationship between preferential sexual risk appetite and acceptance of sex behavior was.53, objective valves and acceptance of sexual behavior was .34, self – esteem and acceptance of sexual behavior was equal .16. 3) The predictive power of accepting sex behaviors with statistical significance at .01 level was preferential sexual risk, and material values of teenage girls in the Klong Toey area. Multiple linear regression equations was Y = .31 + .84 X1 + .31 X3 and multiple linear regression equations are Y/ = .59 X1/ + .27 X3/
