The development of good personality characteristics measuring instruments for prathom suksa VI students in chaiyaphum primary education service area office 1

This research aimed to develop and find the quality of good personality characteristics measuring instruments for prathomsuksa VI students in Chaiyaphum primary education service area office 1. The samples of this research were 555 persons consist of prathomsuksa VI students, teachers and parents. The instruments in this research were the good personality characteristics measuring instruments for prathomsuksa VI students consist of 3 instruments such as the instrument for teachers, parents and self – assessment by students. Analyzing the instruments quality by content validity using Index of item objective congruence (IOC), construct validity using known group technique, discrimination using Item total correlation and reliability using Cronbach alpha – coefficient. The research findings were:
- The good personality characteristics measuring instruments for prathomsuksa VI students consist of 3 instruments such as the instrument for teachers; 40 items of rating scale, parents; 40 items of rating scale and self – assessment by students were 30 items of situation test. Each instrument consist of 5 components such as honesty, responsibility, discipline generosity and diligence.
- The quality of the good personality characteristics measuring instruments of students as follows
2.1 The good personality characteristics measuring instruments of students for teachers had index of item objective congruence ranged from 0.60 – 1.00. The construct validity found that the average value of students with high personality characteristics and students with low personality characteristics were significantly different at the level of .01 that mean the instrument have the construct validity. The discrimination ranged from 0.422 – 0.851, item reliability ranged from 0.888 – 0.924 and whole of reliability was 0.970
2.2 The good personality characteristics measuring instruments of students for parent had index of item objective congruence ranged from 0.60 – 1.00. The construct validity found that the average value of students with high personality characteristics and students with low personality characteristics were significantly different at the level of .01 that mean the instrument have the construct validity. The discrimination ranged from 0.322 – 0.742, item reliability ranged from 0.734 – 0.844 and whole of reliability is 0.936.
2.3 The good personality characteristics measuring instruments of students students had index of item objective congruence ranged from 0.60 – 1.00. The construct validity found that the average value of students with high personality characteristics and students with low personality characteristics were significantly different at the level of .01 that mean the instruments have the construct validity. The discrimination ranged from 0.234 – 0.891, item reliability ranged from 0.465 – 0.917 and whole of reliability was 0.933.
