Evaluation of the Community Development Department’s Project to Reinforce and Develop Change Leaders

The objectives of this project evaluation were1) to evaluate the achievements of the Project to Reinforce and Develop Change Leaders; 2) to evaluate participants’ satisfaction with the project; and 3) to study examples of success and factors that affected the success of the project. The informants were leaders of communities, including 360 leaders chosen through simple random sampling who provided information for the quantitative part of the evaluation and 43 leaders chosen through purposive sampling who gave information for the qualitative part of the evaluation. The evaluation tools were a questionnaire and focus group discussion topics. Data were evaluated by mean, standard deviation and content analysis.
The results of the evaluation showed that 1) overall, the achievement of the Project to Reinforce and Develop Change Leaders was rated at high level (M = 4.25, SD = 0.63) 2) overall, satisfaction with the Project to Reinforce and Develop Change Leaders was at high level(M = 4.25, SD = 0.62)and 3) factors that affected the success of the Project to Reinforce and Develop Change Leaders were the readiness of change leaders, supervision and follow-up by the Community Development Department, and compatibility of the project with the needs of the communities.
