Guidelines for Desirable Characteristics Development of Student Teachers in Teaching Practice Experience of The 21st Century,Faculty of Education, Silpakorn University
Abstract
This study aimed to: 1) investigate the level of the desirable characteristics of student teachers in teaching practice experience of the 21st Century, Faculty of Education, Silpakorn University and 2) investigate characteristics development Guidelines for student teachers in teaching practice experience of the 21st Century. The participants of this study were 215 people : student teachers who were the fifth year students of the academic year 2019, mentors and university supervisors. The instruments used in this research were a questionnaire and focus group discussions. The quantitative data was calculated for the arithmetic to mean scores, percentages, and standard deviation while the qualitative data was analyzed using content analysis. The results were found as follows: 1) Current status and needs for desirable characteristics of student teachers, mentors and university supervisors in teaching experiences were at a high level. The sample group that had a significantly highest score was student teachers. 2) There were 36 characteristics development guidelines for student teachers. They consisted of learning management contexts, principles, objectives, goals, methods and conditions of success. The confirmation from 5 experts was at the highest level.
