A study of knowledge, attitudes and behaviors in the prevention and control of COVID-19 local public health volunteers of Banna district, Nakhon nayok Province

Abstract

This study aimed to meet the following objectives: 1.To study knowledge, attitude and behavior in prevention and control of COVID-19 among village health volunteers in Ban Na District, Nakhon Nayok Province. 2.To compare the knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of village health volunteers classified by gender, educational, occupation, family status. of village health volunteers 3. To study the relationship between knowledge, attitude, behavior in prevention and control of COVID-19 with age, experience of being a village health volunteer, and income.

It is descriptive research. The population of the study was village health volunteers in Ban Na District, Nakhon Nayok Province, totaling 1,116 people, the sample group consisted of 290 Accidental sampling methods. The questionnaire instrument was used as a questionnaire. The results of the research found that village health volunteers Knowledge of COVID-19 prevention and control is at a good level. The overall attitudes towards prevention and control of COVID-19 are at a high level and overall COVID-19 prevention and control behaviors at the highest level. The results of the comparative analysis of knowledge, attitudes and behaviors in the prevention and control of COVID-19 in each aspect and overall found that the village health volunteers with different sexes, different attitudes statistically significant at the .05 level . As for the different educational levels, had knowledge, attitudes and behaviors in preventing and controlling COVID-19. overall different statistically significant at the .05 level . When considering each aspect, it was found that the knowledge and attitudes were significantly different at the .05 level. In terms of different status there was a statistically significant difference in attitudes towards COVID-19 prevention and control at the .05 level. In terms of different occupations, they have knowledge, attitudes and behaviors. There were no statistically significant differences in each aspect and overall. The results of the analysis of the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, behaviors in prevention and control of COVID-19 with age, experience of being a village health volunteer, and income found that age was inversely related to income and knowledge is related to the experience of being a health volunteer, statistically significant at the .01 level, income was correlated with attitude significantly at the .05 level. The experience as a  Volunteer was inversely correlated with knowledge at the statistical significance of .05.
