DEVELOPING DIGITAL COMPETENCY OF SECONDARY TEACHERS UNDER THE SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE PATHUM THANI

Abstract

The research aims were; 1) To study Digital competencies and needs in the development of digital competency of teacher. 2) To develop digital competencies of teacher in secondary school. 3) To used and evaluated the digital competencies of teacher in secondary school under the Pathumthani Region Secondary Education Service Area Office. This was research and development. The research tools were in-depth interview form and questionnaire form. Target group are 11 school administrators, and sample group are 331 teachers in secondary school under the Pathumthani Region Secondary Education Service Area Office. Qualitative data was analyzed by content analysis and descriptive analysis method. Quantitative data was analyzed by mode, percentage, mean, standard deviation, priorities need index and independent t-test. The results showed; 1) Digital Competencies of teacher secondary school under the Pathumthani Region Secondary Education Service Area Office comprises computer competencies, competency in using digital for security. As for digital competencies that are a need for development as follows; Competency in knowledge and understanding of the Computer Crime Act 2017 (No. 2). Competency in media literacy and being able to manage online authentication formats and Competency in knowledge and understanding of the Personal Data Protection Act 2019 (PDPA). 2) The digital competency development method uses integrated workshops. 3) The results of the evaluation were found to be appropriate, possible, useful and correct at the highest level and the results of developing digital competencies according to the needs of school teachers under the Pathum Thani Secondary Educational Service Area Office. After attending the training, it was found that the teachers had a high level of digital competence.
