A MODEL FOR DEVELOPING TEACHERS’ COMPETENCIES IN THE USE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY FOR LEARNING MANAGEMENT AT WATSANTIKARAMWITTAYA SCHOOL UNDER THE ROYAL PATRONAGE OF HIS MAJESTY THE KING, RATCHABURI SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE

Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) To study the current state and the desired state; 2) To develop a model for enhancing the competency in using digital technology 3) To test the developed model for enhancing the competency in using digital technology and 4) To evaluate the model for enhancing the competency in using digital technology for learning management among teachers at Watsantikaramwitthaya School Under The Royal Patronage Of His Majesty The King. The process consisted of four steps: 1) Studying the concepts, theories, and principles related research 2) Drafting the model and reviewing it by experts; 3) Investigating the trial use and satisfaction of teachers regarding the model by the academic teachers at the school;
and 4) evaluating the model by directly involved stakeholders. The research instruments included questionnaires and interviews. Data were analyzed using basic statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research findings indicated that 1) Overall,
the current state and the desired state of the competency in using digital technology for learning management among teachers were at a high level; 2) The developed model consisted of
five components: 2.1) Principles, 2.2) Objectives, 2.3) Operational systems and mechanisms,
2.4) Operational process, and 2.5) Evaluation guidelines of the model. The feasibility of the model was at the highest level. The usefulness was at the highest level. The appropriateness was at the highest level, and the accuracy was at the highest level. 3) The results of the trial use of the model showed an overall competency level in usage at a high level, and the satisfaction of teachers towards the use of the model was at the highest level; and 4) The evaluation results of the model for enhancing the competency in using digital technology for learning management among teachers indicated that feasibility, usefulness, appropriateness, and accuracy all aspects were at the highest level.
