RELATIONSHIPS AND NETWORKS OF AGRICULTURAL RESEARCHERS RELATED TO CASSAVA IN THAILAND AT THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEVELS: BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS

Abstract

This research had two objectives: 1) To analyze the ability of agricultural researchers related to cassava in Thailand to publish articles at both national and international levels.
2) To study the relationships and networks of agricultural researchers related to cassava in Thailand at the national and international levels that demonstrate the development of publications and the positions of Thai researchers on the global stage. Research sources are articles of agricultural researchers in national research of Thailand published in NRIIS database of 2010 - 2020 and international research published in the SCOPUS of 2013 - 2022. This research was conducted using PRISMA protocol in order to answer the research objectives via a bibliometric analysis. First, Kasetsart University has the most internationally published articles in SCOPUS. The individual analysis results display that 5 researchers with the most published research studies at the international level are from Khon Kaen University. When considering Thai research at the national level, it was discovered that the Land Development Department has the most published research studies, which have been continuous endeavors since 2013 - 2022. Second, the investigation of relationships and networks of agricultural researchers related to cassava in Thailand at the international level in 2013 - 2017 and 2018 - 2022 revealed that Mahidol University acquired a strong network of researchers who have been continuously conducting research in both periods. Kasetsart University had a large pool of researchers in the beginning, but the number decreased later on. However, overall, research on cassava was continuously published. The results of the analysis of relationships and networks of agricultural researchers related to cassava in Thailand at the national level revealed that researchers were groups of universities and departments related to agricultural knowledge. Kasetsart University in 2013 - 2017 had a network of more than half of the first 50 researchers analyzed.
