THE EFFECTIVENESS OF A SELF-DIRECTED LEARNING TRAINING PACKAGE TO ENHANCE THE EXPERIENTIAL PROVISION ABILITIES OF EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHERS IN SCHOOLS UNDER THE BORDER PATROL POLICE SUB-DIVISION

Abstract

 This research aimed to 1) Study the effectiveness of the self-directed learning training package to enhance the experiential provision abilities of early childhood teachers in schools under the Border Patrol Police Sub-Division and 2) Investigate the satisfaction level of early childhood teachers towards the self-directed learning training package designed to enhance the experiential provision abilities of early childhood teachers in schools under the Border Patrol Police Sub-Division. This study employed a pre-experimental design (One Group Pretest-Posttest Design). The sample consisted of 14 early childhood teachers at the kindergarten level from seven schools under the Border Patrol Police Sub-Division 43, selected using purposive sampling. The instruments used for data collection included 1) A self-learning training package based on the 80/80 2) An efficiency criteria an assessment form for the experiential provision abilities of early childhood teachers and 3) an early childhood teacher satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics analyses employed included mean, and tandard Deviation (S.D.). Pre-experiment and post-experiment results were compared using a dependent samples t = test. The result of the study revealed that 1) The results of the study of the effectiveness of the self-learning training package found that the ability to organize the experiences of early childhood teachers after using the training set, it was higher than before using the training set. Statistically significant at the .05 level. and 2) The overall satisfaction assessment results towards the training package revealed that the participants' satisfaction was at a high level.
