AN ANALYSIS OF ECONOMIC VALUE IN KUTADANTA SUTTA

Abstract

     The objectives of this research article were to: 1) study an economical system in Kūtadanta Sutta and 2) analyze the economic value in Kūtadanta Sutta. This research was conducted based on Documentary Research Methodology and concluded with descriptive analysis.

     The result of the study found that: An economical system in Kūtadanta Sutta was introduced to human beings to leave the animal abuse in the sacrificial ceremony. This action was unwholesome to affect the human beings' economical system. The Buddha introduced a good way to human beings to make the sacrificial action without killing animals and destroying the environment. He encouraged human beings to make the sacrificial ceremony with the social service in all classes: giving the agricultural fund, business fund and giving the public servants the morel for the honest life. This was the development of the sustainable economics that stressed on using the limited resources effectively and satisfying all persons in societies.

     The value of an economical system in Kūtadanta Sutta was that when people were given a good service, there was a good administration without poverty, problems of abuse among human beings, murderers and stealers. This was so because all people tried to get successful in their occupation and prosperous in sustainable economics, developed societies and forever happiness.
