DEVELOPMENT OF INTEGRATED WELFARE FOR THE ELDERLY: CASE STUDY HOMESOOK CENTER, KALASIN PROVINCE

Abstract

This research article aims to study (1) the integration of social welfare management for the elderly by Homesook Center and its networks. Including sustainability, (2) Success factors of integrating social welfare provision for the elderly by the Homesook Center and its networks and (3) Sustainable Development Guidelines for Integrating Social Welfare for the Elderly by Homesook Centers and Network Partners. This research is a qualitative research. The Key informants include Homesuk center staff, Network partners, and the elderly or senior leaders of the Homesook Center Nachan Subdistrict Municipality Kalasin Province total of 49 people. They select a specific sample group. Data were collected using in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions. The data was analyzed using the document content analysis method—present information in a descriptive way.

The result of the study found that: the integration of social welfare management for the elderly by the Homesook Center and its network partners. Including sustainability, there are five aspects as follows1) Economic aspect, 2) Food security aspect, 3) Health aspect, 4) Lifelong learning aspect, 5) Water consumption - Sufficient consumption and appropriate sanitation district management.

The success factors of integrating social welfare management for the elderly by the Homesook Center and its networks found five aspects: 1) Have a clear work plan 2) Budget support from various sectors 3 ) There are enough places to support activities and equipment. 4) There is a concept of co-ownership of the Home Happiness Center. Moreover, the goal of caring for the elderly, the disabled, and the underprivileged in the community are to be able to rely on themselves 5) Public relations for receiving the award of the Homesook Center.

Guidelines for developing sustainable integration of social welfare management for the elderly of the Homesook Center and its networks found that the work between the Homesook Center and the community local authority government agency private sector. There are essential factors, including personnel, plans/projects, budgets, and public relations.
