Using of Online Meeting Program of Teacher in Learning Management in Schools under the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization

Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) to examine teachers’ use of online meeting programs in teaching; and (2) to identify the factors influencing the use of online meeting programs by teachers such as age, level and purpose. The population used in this research were 970 teachers from schools under Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization, and the sample group used in this research were teachers under Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization schools in the academic year 2023. The sample was selected by using Yamane's formula with a 95% confidence level. The 260 samples was obtained using accidental sampling. The research instrument was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire. The data was analyzed by descriptive analytics including frequencies, percentages, mean, and standard deviation The findings revealed that 1) the purpose of teachers using online meeting programs was to communicate. 2) the factors that influenced the use of online meeting programs by teachers were to solve problems in teaching and learning management and to develop efficiency in organizing the teaching and learning process 3) the online meeting programs that teachers often use was Zoom meetings and 4) the teachers’ skills in using online meeting programs were acquired through self-learning from websites and other electronic media. The teachers of all age groups aim to use online meeting programs for communication except for the age group of 41-45 years who use it for teaching and learning. The teachers of all age groups had factors that influenced their use of online meeting programs which are managing and organizing the teaching and learning process. The online meeting program that the teachers regularly use to solve teaching management problems is Zoom meeting, except for the 36–40 years old group who uses Google meet. The teachers of all age groups acquired their skills in using online meeting programs through self-study from websites and other electronic media. The teaching level of teachers show that all levels’ purpose of using online meeting programs was to communicate. The teachers in all levels realize the importance of using online meeting programs for instruction. They commonly use online meeting programs, including Google meet and Zoom meeting program and learn using online meeting programs from different resources.
