Quality of Life Development of Elderly People Case Study: Samutsakhon City Municipality Mueang District Samutsakhon Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research article are to (1) study community factors of the elderly that has quality of life development elderly people case study of Samutsakhon Municipality; (2) study quality of life development of elderly people case study of Samutsakhon Municipality and (3) study relationships with community factors elderly people that affects quality of life development elderly people in Samutsakhon Municipality City, Mueang District, Samutsakhon Province; this research is a survey research, the tool used to collect data was questionnaire, the population used in the study included elderly people aged 60 years and over who had house registrations in Samutsakhon City Municipality, simple sampling by chance, there were 364 people, statistics used in data analysis included mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient analysis Hypothesis testing and multiple regression analysis. The result of the study found that: community factors of the elderly in Samutsakhon City Municipality, Mueang District, Samutsakhon Province, overall and each aspect is at high level in every aspect and the area with the highest average is healthcare. Improving the quality of life the elderly in Samutsakhon City Municipality, Mueang District, Samutsakhon Province, overall and each aspect is high level in every aspect and the aspect with the highest average was the mental aspect. Relationship of community factors of elderly that affect the development of quality of life the elderly in Samutsakhon City Municipality, Mueang District, Samutsakhon Province, overall, there is moderate positive relationship with statistical significance .01; and the variables predicting community factors for the elderly, it was found that the variables tested had the highest predictive power, including medical care, can predict that It is variable that affects the development of the quality of life the elderly in Samutsakhon City Municipality, it has regression coefficient or predictive power of .959, affecting the development of the quality of life elderly in Samutsakhon City Municipality, the score was 95.90%, with statistical significance .01
