Development of Learning Activities Using Historical Methods on The Development of Ayutthaya and Thonburi Kingdoms for Matthayomsuksa 2 Students

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: (1) to develop learning activities using historical methods on the development of Ayutthaya and Thonburi kingdoms for Mathayomsuksa 2 students, effectively meeting the criteria of 80/80, (2) to compare the academic achievement of Mathayomsuksa 2 students who receive historical method-based learning activities before and after study, (3) to compare the analytical thinking abilities of Mathayomsuksa 2 students who received historical method-based learning activities before and after class, and (4) to study the satisfaction of Mathayomsuksa 2 students with the organization of historical method-based learning activities. This research employs quantitative methods. Data collection tools include 15 learning management plans, a 30-question academic achievement test, an analytical thinking ability test, and a satisfaction questionnaire. Statistical analyses involve mean, percentage, standard deviation, and hypothesis testing using t-tests (Dependent Samples). The results of the study revealed that: 1) The development and efficiency of learning activities using historical methods for Mathayomsuksa 2 students achieved an efficiency score of 86.98/81.23. 2) The academic achievement of Mathayomsuksa 2 students who participated in historical method-based learning activities showed statistically significant improvement after studying compared to before studying, at the .05 level. 3) The analytical thinking ability of Mathayomsuksa 2 students who engaged in learning using historical methods demonstrated statistically significant improvement after studying compared to before studying, at the .05 level. 4) Overall, students expressed the highest level of satisfaction with the organization of learning activities using historical methods.
