Factors Affecting Work Efficiency of Engineers at a Construction Company in Bangkok

Abstract

This research article aims to study (1) the level of opinions of engineers in construction companies in the Bangkok area regarding factors such as the work environment, management and administration, work competency development, and work safety that affect the work performance of engineers in construction companies, (2) examine the influence of the work environment, work safety, and competency development of engineers on the work performance of engineers in construction companies, and (3) investigate the impact of management and administration on the competency development of engineers. This research is quantitative in nature. The data collection tools include a checklist and a questionnaire related to management and administration, with the questionnaire being a rating scale. The statistical methods used for data analysis include multiple linear regression and simple linear regression. The study found that 1) The work environment, work safety, management, competency development, and work performance of engineers is at a high level. 2) The work environment, work safety, and the development of engineers' competencies have a positive influence on the work performance of engineers in construction companies. 3) Management and administration have a positive influence on the development of engineers' competencies.
