Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • The submission file is in the Microsoft Word file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The manuscript is single-spaced; prepared by using Times New Roman font, in the size of 12 points; employs italics, rather than underlining (except for URL addresses). All illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The manuscript adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Please study the Author Guidelines before submitting the manuscripts.

Manuscript Preparation
* If the author prepares the manuscript in Thai, please change the website language setting into Thai and study the Author Guidelines in the Thai version.

Songklanakarin Law Journal (SLJ) accepts for consideration research articles and other types of articles for publication. The author should study the submission guidelines from the link: https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/SLJ, and prepare the manuscript as follows:

  1. The manuscript must be a research article or an academic article, prepared between 15-20 pages (from 22 August 2022 onwards).
  2. The manuscript is prepared on the A4 paper. All margins of the page (top, bottom, left, and right) must be 2.54 cm or 1 inch. The texts are typed by using the 12-point Times New Roman font (for an English manuscript) as seen in the “Template of Manuscript” provided above.
  3. The main composition of a manuscript is as follows:
    1) Title of the article, both in English and Thai
    2) Details of the author: first name and last name, position, affiliation, both in English and Thai
    3) Abstract, not more than 250 words, and Keywords, not more than 3 words, both in English and Thai
    4) Content of the article (see items 4. and 5. below)
    5) Referencing (footnote and bibliography)
  4. For a research article, the content of the article consists of: Background and Significance of Research Problems, Objective, Hypothesis, Scope of Study, Research Methodology, Expected Benefit, Theoretical Framework, Result and Discussion, Conclusion and Recommendation, Acknowledgment (if any)
    5. For an academic article, the content of the article consists of: Introduction, Content, and Conclusion and Recommendation. The author is free to design the title and number of the sections.
    6. If tables or pictures are used, the author should use the 11-point font, and referencing must be provided, applying the footnote-style referencing below.
    7. For referencing, the author must use footnote and bibliography as detailed below.
    8. All sources cited in the footnotes must be included in the bibliography.

The editorial team reserves the right to decline to consider any manuscript that is not prepared in accordance with the guidelines of the SLJ.

Referencing

          The SLJ employs the referencing in the style of footnote and bibliography as follows:

  1. Footnote

          The footnote referencing must be done by using the 10-point Times New Roman font and all referencing must be placed in the footnote, applying the function provided by Microsoft Word. The indent of the first line of each footnote must be set at 1.25 cm from the left margin of the page.
