Augmented Reality: The Challenges for Teaching and Learning Development for Thailand in 21st Century

บทคัดย่อ

The advancement of information technology and communication drives present-world citizens to acquire new skills. Education plays an important role as an instrument to faster those skills. The application of innovations for instruction, especially virtual classes requires student’s participation. One of the innovations widely applied in present-day education is Augmented Reality technology. However, the success of this application is challenged in several aspects. This study reported the excessive success of using augmented reality (AR) technology in improving instruction in Thailand. The result of the study were as follows:
1) AR develops learning achievements, 2) AR improves student observation and classification skills. 3) AR derives students satisfaction toward instructional materials with AR technology, 4) AR technology increases student interest and attracts student, and 5) AR technology makes it easier to explain abstract things to concrete ones.
