Posted on 2026-05-19The Asian Network for Public Opinion Research (ANPOR) is proud to announce its collaboration as a co-convener of the ICA Thailand Regional Hub 2026, an official concurrent event of the International Communication Association's (ICA) 76th Annual Conference. Hosted at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok on 6–7 June 2026, the conference will bring together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and emerging researchers from across Asia and beyond.
Under the theme “Bridging Divides, Amplifying Voices: Communication and Inequalities from a Southeast Asian Perspective,” the ICA Thailand Regional Hub 2026 aims to elevate Asian perspectives in global communication scholarship while fostering cross-border dialogue, research collaboration, and inclusive knowledge exchange.
As a leading regional network dedicated to advancing public opinion research and scholarly cooperation across Asia, ANPOR is honored to support this landmark initiative alongside the Faculty of Communication Arts, Chulalongkorn University, and the Council of Mass Communication Scholars of Thailand (C.M.C.T.).
The conference will feature keynote addresses, thematic research panels, mentorship sessions, publication clinics, and regional research collaborations focusing on critical issues such as digital inequalities, AI governance, misinformation, civic participation, health communication, and decolonial knowledge systems.
ICA Thailand Regional Hub 2026 represents a significant milestone for Southeast Asia’s communication research community—positioning Bangkok as a vibrant center for global academic engagement and ensuring that Asian voices help shape the future of communication studies worldwide.
