DISSEMINATION OF BUDDHISM BY BUDDHIST MONKS TO INMATES AT SA KAEO PROVINCIAL PRISON

Abstract

This article was to study the level of Inmates opinions, compare of the Inmates opinion, problems, obstacles and recommendations for Dissemination of Buddhism by Buddhist Monks to Inmates at Sa Kaeo Provincial Prison, Methodology were mixed methods. Findings: the level of Inmates opinion on Dissemination of Buddhism by Buddhist monks by overview was at high level. Personal factors were different but the research hypothesis was rejected. Problems and obstacles were found that content difficulty access to understand, not suitable for diversified prison inmates. Recommendations: should be more making for understanding in context of the prison. Including Dhamma principles for behavior modification after the inmates discharged from prison.
