THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE POTENTIAL OF ECCLESIASTICAL OFFICIALS IN WANG NAM YEN DISTRICT, SA KAEO PROVINCE

Objectives of this research article were: 1. Examine the relationship between the principles of human resource development and the Threefold Training (Tiisikkha) with the development of the Administrative potentials of Administrative Sangha, 2. Propose approaches for developing the administrative potentials of administrative Sangha at Wang Nam Yen District, Sa Kaeo Province, conducted by the mixed research methods.
The quantitative research, data were collected through questionnaires from 158 samples who were Buddhist monks at Wang Nam Yen District, Sa Kaeo Province. The qualitative research, data were collected by in-depth interviewing 10 key informants, including Sangha administrators, local leaders, and scholars in human capacity development. The statistical methods used included mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient.
The research findings revealed that: 1. The principle of human resource development in terms of training showed a statistically significant negative correlation at the 0.05 level with the development of the administrative potentials of Administrative Sangha at Wang Nam Yen District, Sa Kaeo Province, particularly in the areas of knowledge and skills, at a very low level. Additionally, the human resource development principle in education also exhibited a statistically significant negative correlation at the 0.01 level with skill development in administrative Sangha at a very low level. Moreover, the wisdom component of the Threefold Training showed a statistically significant negative correlation at the 0.05 level with both knowledge and skill development among administrative Sangha. 2. The development of Administrative Sangha at Wang Nam Yen District, Sa Kaeo Province, focuses on enhancing both human resource development and the Threefold Training through practical training workshops, promotion of higher education, and continuous academic activities. Monasteries were developed into learning centers, with an emphasis on planning, efficient resource utilization, and volunteer activities. This was complemented by the integration of Buddhist practice in morality, Sila, concentration,Samadhi, and wisdom, Pañña, alongside efforts to improve personality, attitude, knowledge, skills, and creativity. As a result, the administration of the Sangha Affaires has become more effective and sustainable.
