Abstract

          The objectives of this research are: 1) to study the environmental management in the agricultural and suburban residential areas by Bangkok Comprehensive Plan 2013; and 2) to study the public opinions towards environmental management by this measure.

          The results of this research, which are the summary of measure and come from questionnaire, show that Bangkok Comprehensive Plan 2013 has a qualified of negative, positive, and incentive measures. Thus, this measure has several actions according to the concept of urban planning for environmental management. The agricultural and suburban residential areas of Bangkok, both east and west are designated as priority zones for the implementation of environmental management especially drainage and flood protection, so the population have a highly satisfied with it. However, the east agricultural and suburban residential areas of respondents are dissatisfied reached 18.27 percent about the authorization of raceway, race course, shooting gallery in rural and agricultural land. Moreover, respondents in agricultural and suburban residential areas, both east and west also have a high level of needs to set the strict penalties for violation and non-compliance in urban planning measures. These results of the research, it is public opinion that supports and is particularly useful in the evaluation of the comprehensive plan.
