Abstract

          The research of The Construction of Identity and The Negotiation of Gender of The Female Field-Reporter :Thapanee Eiadsrichai. There are two objectives : (1)To learn how to identity the construction of a female field-reporter (2) To learn about gender negotiation skill for being a female field-reporter.

          The research has been conducted with a qualitative method by using data analysis from Thapanee Eiadsrichai’s 3 news vdo clips which are ; Flooding in Thailand, Terrorism in Southern part of Thailand and Human Trafficking of Rohingya. And then using in-depth interview with Thapanee Eiadsrichai : the female field-reporter of 3 Miti News program and editors.

          The research shows that Thapanee Eiadsrichai : the female field-reporter of 3 Miti News program has a create an identity of field reporter by using in-depth analysis report or called ‘scoop news’ which have a format combine with news situation through personality, face, act, costume and emotional that occur naturally by herself. Meanwhile, the negotiation for female reporter was occurred at the same time by creating an identity to present both male and female reporter in one person along with the satisfaction of the viewers by the speed of works, knowledge and ability of reporter in different view that make the different from others reporters. Moreover, it makes an outstanding watchful from the society and been accepted. This is a model of next generation women leaders who want to working as a field-reporter.
