Abstract

           Nowadays, the number of elderly people in Thailand has been rising up. Thailand has become part of that by all means. The situation of this changing results in such problems both target group and community. This is a problem that affects increasing and intensifying. The management resolved the issue has been ineffective. Independent Study Title Attitudes of Elderly Persons toward Domestic violence elderly : Older Fund in Bangkok Metropolitan aims to study the knowledge and understanding of domestic violence elderly and attitudes of elderly persons toward Domestic violence elderly. And to preventive the domestic violence elderly problem. The study is most of the samples are knowledge and understanding of domestic violence elderly at a high level. They samples have answers correct for domestic violence, the action is intense. Affect the elderly, injured and damage the physical and emotional. Most of the respondents strongly agree with the viewpoint on the causes of violence against the elderly in families that have resulted from the addict. Dependence on the causes of which are the result of dependence of the elderly as a burden on the family. Economy and socialization. The various factors as perceived by the respondents as a cause of violence against the elderly in the family. The study’s suggestions in term of policy are as follows : the promotion community should be involved in monitoring and addict problem in the community, such as community volunteers who provide care and assistance to elderly thoroughly. Department of Older Persons should have released the elderly to prepare thoroughly for the elderly all groups in society. Government agencies, private foundations or other organizations concerned should support and encourage the skills of older persons in the profession and knowledge, counselling, family planning to reduce the problem of violence against the elderly in the family.
