Preparing into ASEAN Economic Community of Lao PDR A Case Study: The Investment Promotion Policy and Economic Development of Champasak Province

Abstract

           This study is to analyze the readiness to joint ASEAN’s Social Economy of The Lao PDR that focuses on Champasak Province’s Economic Development and Investment promotion Policies. The study will not only analyze the opportunities and the impaction to but also study the readiness and not getting readiness of Champasak Province including of studying its infrastructure, natural and human resources development project, apart from these, the study will also analyze the whole guideline and policies of the Country and study the details of proceeding of Social Economic Development and Investment promotion Policies of the Province as well as Nation’s Economic Development policies as a whole. The study will analyze theories and principles of producing single marketing criteria of ASEAN that has been defined in the AEC Blue Print

            In term of the single market and production base, Champasak will be impacted both advantages and disadvantages for instance, when becoming AEC members, this will help co-operate and grow in the region which surely benefit economy system of Champasak. This means that not only making provincial economic structure develop according to tendency towards advanced industry it also improves the fundamental of economy to be stranger for examples, the advance technology applying by investors. This provides the opportunities towards a variety of goods and the diversity of service. Those help faculties the customers in terms of products consumption and in a reasonable price. However, this not only provides the advantages, it also gives us the disadvantages towards the foreign investors in Laos especially the faculties such as: roads, water supply, electrically insufficient and Laos is Land lock country which leads to more investment capital.
