A qualitative research was used in this study. The results of the study were as follows: The Singkorn has been announced as the temporarily permitted area since 1997 and has begun to border trade until now totaling 15 years. In the past the border trade was not very high compared to the present. The turning point of economic growth beginning in 2010 made “Singkorn Pass” a cross border permanently. The value of border trade increased more than 30 million baht per year. The factors that contribute to the economic impact of the border comprise two main factors (internal and external factors) as the political and economic policies and the impulse from the outside. The rapid development of this border town causes economic impact of the border both directly and indirectly. It contributes to the expansion of trade, investment and tourism. Also it will be a freight line from the origin of Thailand to Burma and makes transportation and distribution system in the Tanintharyi Region more complete. The economic impact of the border has an impact on the economic relations between Thailand and Burma. This study is considered to be a major drive in opening the doors of economic relations between Thailand and Burma in the future.
