Sexual Harassment in Thai Society

Abstract

          This research will provide the experiences in confronting the situation in which women of 258 persons faced in the workplace. It will cover the forms of verbal, physical and image harassment. The study found that the majority of women answered that they neither faced nor encountered sexual harassment, but the issue that women can face as sexual harassment is only a dirty joke. It is a question of verbal sexual harassment. Furthermore, this research has found that a man’s prospect concerning sexual harassment is common and can occur in the workplace. It is clear that Thai society has sexual inequality particularly covering sexual harassment of women and it is not exactly reveal as, It is a shameful issue. If women come out and disclose that they face any forms of sexual harassment by themselves, they will he blamed by society.
