A Study of Cultural Development of the Ancient Settlements in the Central Plains of Lampang Province Prior to the 18th Century A.D.

Abstract

           The purpose of this research is to study of Cultural Development of the Ancient Settlements in the Central Plains of Lampang Province prior to the 18th Century A.D. It was conducted through studying and examining the gathered historical documents and evidences in all aspects, the collected data were analyzed and concluded. The result of the study found that this area has been settled since prehistoric archaeological sites such as Khao Pa Nam, Lampang Province. In history the residential community has stemmed from the Haripunjaya period, Lanna period until Rattanakosin period, such as Khe Lang Nakhon ancient city and Wiang Phra That La Pang Luang ancient city etc.
