พันธนาการข้ามยุค : อุดมการณ์เพศดิ้น (ไม่เคย) ได้

Abstract

เพศ (Sex) เป็นข้อเท็จจริงทางสรีระที่ผู้คนได้มาแต่กำเนิด แต่เป็นสิ่งที่ไม่ได้มีส่วนบังคับให้ลักษณะเฉพาะที่ได้มานั้นต้องมีความสัมพันธ์กับการกระทำหรือพฤติกรรมทางเพศ ความเป็นเพศ (Gender) เป็นการสร้างความหมายให้กับความแตกต่างทางร่างกายของหญิงและชายโดยมีบริบททางสังคมเข้ามาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการกำหนดและคาดหวังว่าหญิงและชายต้องมีการปฏิบัติตัวอย่างไร คิดอย่างไร มีภาพลักษณ์หรือมีลักษณะอย่างไร จนกลายเป็นกรอบบรรทัดฐานที่กำหนดลักษณะความเป็นเพศภายใต้โครงสร้างของสังคมนั้นในทุกยุคสมัยเราจึงพบความดิ้นรนของบุคคลในการที่จะทะลุกรอบบรรทัดฐานที่กำหนดนี้อยู่เสมอ ในบทความนี้ ผู้เขียนจึงนำแนวคิดเรื่องอุดมการณ์ (Ideology) ของหลุยส์ อัลทูแซร์ นักคิดแนวมาร์กซิสม์เชิงโครงสร้าง (Structural Marxism) มาวิเคราะห์เทียบเคียงเพื่อให้เห็นถึงพันธนาการของอุดมการณ์คติทางความคิดในเรื่องเพศที่ปรากฎอยู่ในสังคมที่แม้จะมีการตีความหรือให้ความหมายใหม่ในแง่มุมที่แตกต่างกันไปแต่พันธการของกรอบความคิดที่เป็นอุดมการณ์เดิมก็ยังคงปรากฎอยู่ไม่เปลี่ยนแปลง ในการศึกษานี้ใช้วิธีค้นหาข้อมูลแบบอุปนัย (inductive approach) เพื่อชวนขบคิดว่า ตลอดเส้นทางพัฒนาการของความพยายามที่จะเปลี่ยนความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างเพศที่เหลื่อมล้ำให้ไปสู่ทิศทางที่สมดุลยิ่งขึ้นนั้น บุคคลก็อาจไม่สามารถเป็นองค์ประธาน (Object) ของการคิดและการขับเคลื่อนสังคมได้อย่างเป็นอิสระ และก็ยังตกอยู่ภายใต้การกำหนดของโครงสร้างสังคมเช่นเดิม

Ties Beyond Times: Ideology of Sex that (Never) Changed

“Sex” is a physiological fact people obtain by birth yet it is not a determinant that binds persons’ specific appearance with their doings or sexual behavior. “Gender” is a meaning formation of physiological differences between men and women by the use of social context to determine and expect how a man or a woman should behave, think, and set own image or personal characteristics. This frame then becomes the norm that defines characteristics of gender under each social structure in every era. And thus we can always find people struggle to get out of this settled norm. In this paper the author use Ideology concept of Louis Althusser, a Structural Marxism philosopher, to conduct comparative analysis to indicate the bondage of ideology of ideas in sexuality that exist in the society. Although sexuality is being reinterpreted or lately explained in different aspects but the bondage of the conception still contains its old unaltered ideology. This study applies inductive approach to gather information to introduce the idea that along the path of development of efforts to change the inequality of gender towards a more balanced direction, a person cannot be the subject of thinking and mobilize the society independently and yet still falls under the same old stipulated social superstructure.
